So as I sniffle around the house, continuing to work on graduation preparations, a birthday celebration and regular homemade duties...I'm keeping an eye on the quail eggs. A full dozen are still there and the mama bird who rarely leaves them. When I walk by her potted plant nest, I tell her "good job mama... take care of your little eggs."
Just a little motherly advice from one mama to another.
We found an elusive Easter egg in the front bushes this morning. My mother-in-law found one last week in her yard that stayed hidden for a whole year. Maybe your quail eggs will remain undiscovered as well, giving them a chance to fully develop into lots more quail that will inhabit your wildlife sanctuary.
