The little floating butterfly inspired the decoration on her cake. The red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting was her idea. Adding the butterfly on top was mine. She was pleasantly surprised.
It was a good day starting with our tradition of "Birthday Breakfast" in bed. Her dad made her french toast which was served at nearly precisely...6:16 a.m. Then, a good day at school including a chemistry test. Yay! Next, her sister surprised her with a trip to the yogurt shop after school. Later, a swim in the pool with her dad followed by homemade pizza.
All in all, a good day to celebrate her Birthday.
I think, however, this just might go on all week.
