flower show

April 22, 2010 is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. It was first established by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. Interestingly, it is celebrated in the spring in the Northern hemisphere and in the autumn in the Southern hemisphere. So many good and beautiful things come from Mother Earth and this is a day to celebrate. Here is a nod to some of the beauty we are enjoying right now in this yard.

So, in honor of Earth Day, I urge you to stop and smell the roses.
And to say thank you for all that is beautiful in your world.

also... remember to recycle!
